Homemade Granola Bars


Ingredients:

  • 1 heaping cup dried fruit
  • *1/4 cup maple syrup or agave nectar (or honey if not vegan)
  • 1/4 cup creamy salted natural peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 cup roasted unsalted almonds (or nut of choice)
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • Chocolate chips, dried fruit, nuts, banana chips, vanilla, etc. (optional additions)

Instructions:

  • Mix together fruit, nuts, and oats in a large bowl
  • Prepare a greased 9×13 baking dish
  • In a saucepot, melt peanutbutter and honey over medium low heat
  • Once melted, combine in bowl with dry ingredients
  • Scoop mixture into baking dish and flatten (if you wish) I used a potato mashed to gently make a flat top
  • Cover and refrigerate for an hour
  • Once cool, cut into 1×3 inch slices
